Get Involved with FUSE
Good things happen when people work together.
If you care about Ridgway's future, we'd love to have you involved.
FUSE is Ridgway's Creative Main Street program. As a Town Council-appointed volunteer committee, we bring together residents, businesses, artists, nonprofits, and Town staff to strengthen our community through creativity, partnerships, and downtown revitalization.
Whether you're passionate about supporting local businesses, public art, placemaking, community events like First Friday, entrepreneurship, or simply connecting great people with great ideas, there's a place for you.
Ways to Get Involved
Serve on the FUSE Committee
FUSE seeks a diverse mix of community members who care about Ridgway and want to help shape its future. We welcome people with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, skills, and perspectives.
You don't need to be an artist or a downtown business owner—just someone who believes in Ridgway and is willing to contribute time, ideas, and energy.
To apply, visit the Connect page and click "Volunteer with FUSE." If you're interested in serving on the FUSE Committee, simply indicate that on your application.
Attending a FUSE meeting before applying is encouraged but not required. Meetings are open to the public, so you're always welcome to come see what we're about before deciding to apply.
Volunteer on Projects
Not ready to join the committee? That's okay!
FUSE regularly needs volunteers to help with the Decker Room, special projects, First Friday, community engagement, placemaking initiatives, research, and other efforts that strengthen Ridgway. Fill out the volunteer application or reach out to staff at twick@town.ridgway.co.us if you would like to discuss ways to plug in; no long-term commitment required!
Attend a Meeting
Everyone is welcome at FUSE meetings. Attend to learn about current projects, share ideas, or comment on agenda items.
Selection Process
Applications for committee membership are reviewed by the FUSE Committee, which recommends candidates to the Town Council for appointment. Applications are typically reviewed during FUSE's monthly meetings (third Tuesdays), with appointments considered by Town Council at its regular meetings (second Wednesdays). The process generally takes 4–8 weeks.
Ready to get involved?
Whether you have a few hours to volunteer, an idea to share, or you're interested in serving on the committee, we'd love to hear from you.
